Contact: Trylon Communications, Inc. Craig Sender, 212-725-2295 craigs@tryloncommunications.com WhenU Names Advertising.com VP Mark Dillon To VP Sales, Central and Western Regions And Claria Sales Director Sandie Milberg To Director, Eastern Region Advertising Sales
NEW YORK, Dec. 6, 2005 -- Continuing the momentum achieved during 2005, behavioral targeting company WhenU (www.whenu.com) announced today that Mark Dillon, formerly vice president of sales at Advertising.com, has been appointed WhenU's vice president of sales for the central and western regions and Sandie Milberg, formerly sales director at Claria Corporation, has been named director of eastern regional advertising sales. Dillon now heads WhenU's offices in Chicago and San Francisco while Milberg will work out of WhenU's headquarters in the New York City. Both report to Ken Evans, who joined WhenU as executive vice president of sales in September of this year and had previously served as executive vice president of sales and marketing at Advertising.com. "I'm pleased that WhenU's cookie-free behavioral targeting solution has attracted two seasoned sales professionals who understand the unique value proposition that WhenU offers to both advertisers and consumers," says Evans. "Mark and Sandie understand that behavioral targeting works best when companies put consumers first by always getting permission to target, protecting privacy and providing real value. We want to let marketers know that there is a better way to target; it's just not necessary to harvest consumers' behavioral data to get great results." Dillon joins WhenU from Advertising.com, a wholly owned subsidiary of AOL, where he served as vice president of sales since 2002. During his tenure, Dillon opened, staffed and led Advertising.com's Midwest sales offices in Chicago and Detroit, and also headed up the company's West Coast offices in 2004. From 1996 through 2001, Dillon was at CNET Networks, where he served as vice president, ZDNet Strategic Sales and Operations from 2000-2001. He helped start the internet sales team for The Weather Channel's weather.com after working for five years in various sales and marketing positions at the NBC Television Network. Milberg had worked for Claria Corporation since 2002. As director of sales, she was responsible for generating sales for Claria in the Northeast. Previously, Milberg served as Vice President of Marketing at Winstar Interactive/Interep Interactive. About WhenU.com, Inc.:
Founded in 2000, WhenU delivers valuable offers and comparative shopping services to consumers through permission-based behavioral targeting without compromising the privacy, security or smooth functioning of peoples' computers. WhenU's proprietary technology distinguishes itself from all other behavioral targeting approaches by applying precision logic at the desktop level. This privacy-protective, client-side architecture enables WhenU to deliver highly relevant coupons and offers to fully opted-in consumers without harvesting logs of consumers' behavioral data for server-side analysis or profiling. WhenU does not use tracking cookies, gather personal information or transmit consumers' browsing or purchasing histories. The company does not compile or maintain any database of consumers' behavioral data or engage in any type of user profiling, anonymous or otherwise. Consumers can easily uninstall WhenU software at any time using Windows' Add/Remove or by calling WhenU's toll free number for live help, which appears on each ad served. WhenU is headquartered in New York City and has offices in San Francisco and Chicago. An overview of WhenU's software and practices is available at http://www.whenu.com/overview_of_practices.html. |
